Charlton fan David Blackman stays coy on the possibly of a new owner taking over from Duchatelet

A long-life Charlton Fan David Blackman has opened up about the possibility of the club being taken over by an brand new owner to replace the current controversial owner Ronald Duchatelet as good news but at a price during an interview.

This comes as recently this month where the current Charlton owner Ronald Duchatelet is completely ready to sell the club despite the fact in the past, he wasn't going to sell the club anytime soon with the fans continuing to protest against him during and after matches when Charlton have played.

"It really depends on who comes into the club to replace him at the end of the day. The fans have feel disconnected from the club since he took over in 2014 so someone who will connect the club with the fans again would be ideal."

Although this season, Charlton are doing well this season where they in a play off position of sixth place in League 1 this season so far under manager Karl Robinson. This has resulted in no protest from the fans but David feels that it could happen again if the season goes pear-shaped. "If the team is not doing well at some point during the course of the season, then the protests is going to happen again."
